SAVEWO, an innovative company specialised in the development, design and production of health protection gear, was founded in 2020 with an aim to contribute to the local and global fight against COVID-19 and create products that can make Hong Kong proud. The world-class capabilities of our mask products have been confirmed by various renowned professional testing and certification bodies, including Nelson labs / SGS / TUV / KOTITI / STC / Bureau Veritas. SAVEWO is the first mask manufacturer in Hong Kong to mass-produce protective respirators certified under KF94 / KF99 (Korea) and EN149: 2001+A1: 2009 FFP2 / FFP3 (EU) standards.

Local Plant Building & Production
In just one year, SAVEWO has constructed the largest mask production plant in Hong Kong with more than 300 employees. Our two-storey flagship production facility in Tsuen Wan has more than 100,000 sq. ft. of floor space, equipped with the biggest dust-free and germ-free cleanroom in Hong Kong and a comprehensive laboratory dedicated to professional product development and quality control. At present, there are over 20 production lines running round the clock with a maximum daily output of 800,000 pieces. Our export destinations include the USA, the UK, Singapore, Taiwan and Germany. The plant operates strictly to ISO13485:2016 Medical Device Quality Management System to ensure that our respirators and medical equipment satisfy compliance, safety and quality commitment requirements.

SAVEWO spares no effort in product development, design and production, setting numerous milestones for Hong Kong to cater to both the general public and groups with special needs: 3DMASK Ultra, the first locally made KF94 / FFP2 respirator; 3DMASK ExtremePro, the first locally made KF99 / FFP3 respirator; 3DMASK Smile, the first locally designed and made barrier-free mask; 3DMEOW, the first 3D mask awarded with design patent in Hong Kong; 3DBEAR, the first locally designed and made 3D mask for infant; and Premium Mask, the first locally designed and made double-strip flat mask. Our innovation covers not only the product but the improvement of manufacturing technologies. Ultra 3D Positioning Technology

< The World’s First Ultra 3D Positioning Technology > SAVEWO has become the world’s first company to mass-produce disposable 3D masks thanks to the development of ultra 3D multi-directional positioning, which provides accuracy with setting the top, the middle and the bottom of the mask. From now on, SAVEWO can utilise this innovative technology to implement any design regardless of complexity.
UV Sterilisation System SAVEWO has developed an original UVC sterilisation system. Unlike traditional sterilisation methods, a UVC LED with heat dissipation device is installed on the automatic deviation rectifier of the production line so that each fabric layer of the mask is individually treated by UVC. With sufficient UVC to penetrate the fine material, every layer is sterilised swiftly during the feeding process. Smart control ensures that the UVC LED is turned off once feeding stops in order to prevent degradation of the material from over-exposure.
Smart Nailing System The smart nailing system is developed by SAVEWO specifically for 3DMASK Extreme Pro. A programming control system is used to overcome the constraints of traditional mechanical nailing and fix the headband nails in an irregular pattern on the V-shaped respirator with great accuracy, thus completing the revolutionary design of 3DMASK Extreme Pro.
Laser Printing Technology Greener and cleaner! Our production line adopts an original online laser printing technology without dyes and ink. The laser printer with a water-based cooling system can emit up to 6,000 laser rays per second to etch different characters and patterns. Each laser ray carries the same power to form dark-grey spots that penetrate less than 0.1mm of the material without compromising the capabilities of the masks. This is the cleanest and greenest printing technology to date as no ink and dyes are required.
Material Technology Development & Production
TYPECOOL+ technology, a proud brainchild of SAVEWO, provides for exceptional filtration performance against salt and oily particles, super-low breathing resistance and waterproofness. As proven by professional laboratory tests, the filtration efficiency is maintained at an astonishing 99.9% upon exposure to 100% relative humidity for 24 hours. This marks a breakthrough from traditional electrostatic filtration technology, which suffers from degradation by humidity. Thanks to TYPECOOL+, the breathing resistance of our 3DMASK series is merely one-third of that of similar high-protection respirators. As such, protection no longer comes at the expense of breathability. SAVEWO 3DMASK EXTREME PRO, launched in 2021 with cutting-edge TYPECOOL+ EX and FleXnet technologies, is the first respirator made in Hong Kong to achieve the highest levels of FFP3 (EU) and KF99 (Korea) certification and meet four international standards, namely FFP3, KF99, TypeIIR and ASTM LEVEL3.
We have been working continuously to develop and enhance our specialised production lines with the latest manufacturing technology. Therefore, SAVEWO has become the first in Hong Kong to mass-produce masks using hygienic material ESPP, which makes the inner layer highly antimicrobial, soft to touch and friendly to the skin. The filtration efficiency of traditional flat masks declines markedly after 1 hour of use and drops below 70% of the original value after 4-6 hours, resulting in loss of protection. Moisture is the worst enemy of the filtering layer of masks. As the user breathes, moisture will seriously affect the electrostatic adsorption performance of the melt blown fabric. SAVEWO TYPECOOL+ is a major breakthrough from the constraints of existing filtration technology. Professional laboratory testing confirms that filtration efficiency is maintained at 99.9% after being soaked in water for 24 hours! Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre (STC) has been commissioned to conduct an ultimate test, in which TypeCool+ SJ25 regular filtering layer (25g/m2) as used in SAVEWO masks is soaked in water for 24 hours. Subsequent tests on Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) and Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) by US ASTM standard procedures show the filtration efficiency at over 99.9%!

SAVEWO Laboratory is capable of conducting many material, mask and respirator tests, which cover a wide variety of international testing standards for quality assurance. SAVEWO laboratory also allows us to develop more advanced materials and products. At present, we have a host of state-of-the-art equipment for specialised tests on salt and oil filtration, airtightness, breathing resistance, differential pressure of materials, synthetic blood penetration resistance, material and tensile strength and biological cleanliness, etc. All testing, data recording and analysis are conducted by a development team with professional qualifications. Our in-house laboratory is as well-qualified as other international professional laboratories.
